Shailey Heller received a B.A. in Communication Studies from San Diego State University. She currently works as a Vision Therapist helping children and adults with various visual distinctions, traumatic brain injuries, and learning disabilities. Her love for the ocean led her to pursue kayak guiding and an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving Certification of 12 years. Additionally, she is a Wilderness First Responder and enjoys spending time outdoors whenever possible. At Ocean Connectors, Shailey had a dynamic role involving assisting with educational programs, field trips, ecotours, and other various projects within the organization. She has a strong passion for environmentalism, education, and helping her community in whatever ways she can.
