As you paddle through calm waters near the lagoon’s wetlands, keep an eye out for snowy egrets, great egrets, and great blue herons foraging along the shoreline. You may also spot a belted kingfisher darting across the water, killdeer along the muddy upland edges, or red-tailed hawks perched high on the powerlines above. Along the way, learn about local conservation efforts, wetland restoration, and the rich biodiversity that makes this lagoon such an important habitat.
